Living in America has made it easy to say,"I'm a Christian." Life has been good here. Now however, this country is definitely becoming more and more intolerant of those who claim to be Christians, religious views, and anything having to do with God.

I think it will become increasingly difficult to be a Christian without some sort of backlash. In fact I think within just a few years Christianity may be under all out persecution. It will be a true test of the faith we all think we have. The same will be true during the time the Anti-christ is requiring everyone to take a mark without the which you can't buy or sell. What will "Christians" choose to do?

In other parts of the world believers in the Lord Jesus are being persecuted every day, and, even giving their lives for the faith. Are we ready for this in the west?

Thanks for your entry here. I have a giant in my life and it is the cares and concerns of my worklife. For 15 years since I asked Christ to be my Lord and Savior, I've chosen to generally put my cares and worries of performance and success over God's agenda to use me to bring others to repentance and to be a light for Christ for others to see. I'm afraid I could lose everything in my life if this decision to give all to Christ costs me in job performance- and ultimately my job. I stay up worrying about the economy- if it tanks more, losing my job, my house- maybe even my family due to thinking that this thing I do now is the only thing I'm able to do to be paid at my income level- and the lack of time I would have to give to my family if I were to have to find a new way to make ends meet. This part of my life does not belong to him as it should. Like the rich young ruler (I'm neither rich nor young though) I have not drawn wholey to Jesus in this area of my life because I'm so fearful of what it could cost me. But I must face it beginning tomorrow at work. If you find this entry- pray for me. Like Caleb and Joshua, my pastor says in order to be the King as Revelation says all believers are (and I do believe), I need to make this giant of fear and intimidation the food I eat.
