Today was not too difficult. I had this super burst of energy at work and wore myself out though. I feel like my body is adapting. I didn’t need near as much food today. I took bananas to work for a morning snack. I skipped breakfast again (it really helps). I had for lunch an avocado, some strawberries and a very tasty fresh tomato and a little sea salt and olive oil over the top. And for dinner I had some left over mock salmon pate and another avocado. Later I snacked on some walnuts, had a cup of almond milk. It’s not a lot of food but, I have not been hungry.
I have discovered something new that I want to try. It is called kelp noodles. It doesn’t look like it but, it is a plant based food. It is a sea weed that looks like noodles. Kelp noodles are made from all natural, raw kelp that has been stripped of its outer skin (leaving a clear, thin interior). It is supposed to be neutral in taste so there is no fishiness to it. I have already place an order with Sea Tangle. It should be here in a few days. I would imagine you’d get a little tired of using squash as a pasta substitute so, this should be a welcomed change for all raw foodist. Of course most of them probably know about it. I’m the one that’s new to this stuff.
Tomorrow I am off from work so I will probably do some shopping at Native Sun in Jacksonville, Florida. They have almost everything you might need on a raw food diet. They may even have some kelp. That means I wont have to wait for my order to come it. I will let you know.
I am probably going to increase my kitchen gear with a new blender from vita-mix and a food dehydrator from Excalibur. This should complete the major appliances I need for my raw food kitchen.
