Healing Up From Back Surgery

Well, it has been four weeks since my back surgery. As you can see they went in through my side (less invasive). I have experienced pains I don’t care to experience ever again. And, no I have not been following any kind of a diet in particular. The best I have been able to do is not eat very much. Of course that is not done on purpose. A certain amount of pain kills my appetite. I have been eating yogart. It’s about all I can stand. I do have a real meal about once a day. Not raw.

I am not sure I will try to go back to the raw food diet after things get back to normal. I do intend to eat more healthy. By that I mean more raw foods. I don’t know if I can curve my appetite for cooked foods, but, I can certainly increase raw foods in my diet. I believe even that will be enough to increase my over all health and even cause some weight loss.

Exercise is always a key in any weight loss endeavor. And I believe that when I am all healed up from the surgery I will in fact be able to do much more exercise than I have been able to do in the pass. I will begin with bicycling. I only live about 5 miles from work so, ten miles a day on the bike should be a great help in the weight loss area. The Doctor said that I might even be able to run after every thing heals up. I had loss the ability to run because of my back and shin splints. I believe that if I get a good pair of running shoes I should be able to ease back into this greatest of weight managing activities.

Just the fact that I am thinking about exercise tells me that I am already feeling better and stronger since the surgery, even with all the pain I have had to endure since having it done. I look forward to a full recovery and a stronger physical life of activity.
