My new Nu Wave Oven
Yesterday I went grocery shopping for the first time since my back surgery. Before that folks who care a great deal about me were bringing food by. While shopping I did not try to stock up on raw fruits and veggies for the raw food diet. Right now I have decided to restrict how much meat I consume and what types. Mostly I will be eating chicken and fish. If I can find it perhaps some lamb as well.
I also picked up some low fat yogurt. For breakfast I have decided to got with hot cereals such as oatmeal and cream of wheat. I really like my green salads with just a bit of olive oil and a spritz of vinegar.
I picked up a Nu Wave oven yesterday. There was another over similar to the Nu Wave about 5-6 years ago which I bought. It works great when cooking fish and chicken and even roasting vegetables. It is as quick and easy as the commercials say and, you don’t have to thaw anything out. The key is that it is quick. I can swing by the store on a daily basis for fresh vegies, mostly green ones. Slightly roasting veggies is not as good as eating them raw, but, it is better than not eating any at all. Most meals can be prepared in less than 30 minutes.
My back is feeling better every day. So I’d like to help things along by eating more healthy in order to drop a few pounds. I started physical therapy this week and I cant wait for the day I can ride a bicycle. This will be good for toning and weight loss. I sort have feel like I have a new lease on my body, an opportunity to get back in shape. I was able to stay in shape until my back got to the point that I could no longer exercise effectively or as often.
I will log my progress as much as possible.
