Mikvah Celebration

in faith

ST AUGUSTINE, FL – We had 13 people get baptized today at the beach from Hineni Messianic Fellowship and, I was one of them. It is called the Mikvah. Part of the traditional process of conversion (getting saved) involves immersion in a Mikvah, baptism. Sometimes though we may find it necessary to renew our faith and rededicate our lives to the Lord. So getting baptized again seemed the right thing to do.

I had not been baptized since I first got saved in 1986. I felt like I needed to renew my  faith walk with God and baptism is a fresh way to start again. There were many others who were there for the same reason I’m sure. There are many Christians around the world who are feeling the need to dig into the Word of God; get on the right track and, prepare for the coming of the Lord. All of us can sense that the time is near.

We all get wrapped up in doing our own thing in this life. It is easy to get side tracked along the way and forget why we are here. Repentance is always key in getting your life and priorities straight again. God is willing to forgive us because of the blood of Yeshua and He has given us His Holy Spirit to guide us to our destinations. I don’t know about you but I intend to go where God leads. I believe that is where every true Christian wants to be.

I didn’t think about pulling out my iPhone to catch some clips until the last person went in. She didn’t get completely submerged so she got dunked twice. PRAISE GOD!
