We always say we believe God loves us, but do we really believe it? I have even come to a point where from scripture I realized that God loves me. But even still I may not have fully comprehended what it means.
One day I was reading in psalms 30. David in verse 8,
“I cried out to you, O Lord. I begged the Lord for mercy, saying, “what will you gain if I die, if I sink into the grave? Can my dust praise you? Can it tell of your faithfulness? Hear me Lord, and have mercy on me.”
I had to stop and think,“I have never been to this point where I asked the Lord what would you gain by my failure or death?”I would have to believe that I some how mattered to God. David believed he mattered to God. I have never been to this place where I could ask God such a question because deep down I don’t understand that I MATTER TO GOD.
The bible says that God loves us so much that he gave His only Son to die for us. Is this just head knowledge for you? Or do you know deep down that He cares for you?
