Public Declaration

I proclaim to the world today that I believe that men are born in sin and that God loved mankind so much that He sent His only Son to die in our place that we might be saved from the penalty of sin WHICH IS ETERNAL DEATH! (John 3:16). I am a believer in Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior. I also believe that Jesus will physically return to the earth  to rule for a thousand years sometime soon.

Being a good person was not enough. To compare yourself to other people and judge that you are a good person because you feel you are better than someone else is a dangerous place to be.

Over 20 years ago I discovered I was not good enough to earn my way into God’s Kingdom. I found out getting into God’s kingdom had to be done His way and He has a definite plan of salvation for man. I found out that I didn’t have to be good enough, but, I only had to believe that the sacrifice of the life of the Son of God was enough to save me. That faith is based on God’s word.

God’s Word

“For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16) NLT

Do You Believe this?

If you do, and, would like to enter God’s kingdom here is a simple prayer that will change your life based on your faith in the word of God.

Heavenly Father, I come to You admitting that I am a sinner. Right now, I choose to turn away from sin, and I ask You to cleanse me of all unrighteousness. I believe that Your Son, Jesus, died on the cross to take away my sins. I also believe that He rose again from the dead so that I might be forgiven of my sins and made righteous through faith in Him. I call upon the name of Jesus Christ and confess Him to be the Savior and Lord of my life. Jesus, I choose to follow you and ask that you fill me with the power of the Holy Spirit. I declare that right now I am a child of God. I am free from sin and full of the righteousness of God. I am saved in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

In 20 years I have learned a lot but not nearly enough. But there are just a few things I have learned about God, myself, and life. I will write what I know in this blog about God and His love for me, My relationship to Him, my life and the world as I see it.
