4th Of July 2011

We all had a great time. We went to the park, where a band all the way from Charlotte, North Carolina played. The were called the Entertainers. They played everything from rock to soul, from the 50′s to the 90′s.

The park was by the water, right behind city hall, I think. I am new in town. It was the first time I had spent the fourth of July with my kids in about four years. There was lots of food, very expensive, and lots of people. They were from all walks of life. It was a very peaceful celebration.

The kids seemed to be having a great time. They saw lots of friends. We talked and cracked jokes and did a lot of laughing.

The night of course ended with fireworks. They were not as big as I’d expect, but with the economy the way it is, cut backs are having an affect. All in all I’d say it was a great night. I hope everybody had as good a time as I had this fourth of July.
